Building Your Custom Sauna Retreat
Building a sauna should be an exciting journey, not a confusing one. At Driftwood Saunas, we try to keep the design process clear and delightful.

1. schedule a sauna design consultation
Your sauna building journey starts here. The owners, Emma and/or Parker, personally handle your initial consultation. We discuss your design goals, style preferences, and target budget. The design process can vary in timeline and cost depending on the complexity of your project, but your first consultation is always complimentary (free).

Think of us as your own personal sauna architects.
2. Custom Design & Estimate
We translate our discussions into a practical vision that can be further discussed and refined. Once the desired design is produced, we proceed with drafting a no obligation estimate for the execution of your project. This process varies in duration based upon the complexity of the project, ranging from 10-15 minutes for a sauna kit installation project to many hours for truly bespoke sauna projects.
3. Estimate Approval & Build Preparation
When you approve the estimate by signing it and placing a down payment, we begin sourcing your high-quality materials, starting pre-fabrication in our workshop, pulling any necessary permits, and coordinating the various trades to ensure a seamless and efficient build schedule.

Time to completion (TTC) varies dramatically based upon project complexity, and this figure can range from 2 to 20+ weeks. We provide an estimated TTC for your design when we provide your estimate.
4. Installation & Construction
Our experienced craftsmen bring the design to life. We manage the entire production life cycle from sourcing your materials to punching in the final trim nail.

All trades, such as electrical heating unit hookups, are performed by appropriately licensed and insured tradesmen.
5. Final Walkthrough
This is when we hand you the metaphorical keys to your sauna! We walk you through your completed sauna, providing an operational briefing on controls and maintenance and answering any questions.
